Preset Dashboard

1. Overview

To help developers quickly get started with the dashboard creation and data viewing, the system will automatically create a preset dashboard when a new product meets certain conditions.

Preset dashboard uses the most basic events such as install, app open, and app close to generate metrics like new users, active users, and retention rate. You don't need to create them manually to have a complete dashboard. This allows you to view the basic metrics of the product while mastering the basic operations of using the dashboard.

2. Instruction

Once the product reports any install, app open, and app close events, the system will automatically create a preset dashboard, so you don't need to take any further action.

The current basic dashboard includes the following reports:

  • New Users, Daily Active Users, Weekly Active Users
  • New Users Retention Perfomance, Launch Frequency Distribution
  • Duration per New User, Duration per Active User
  • Device Brands for New Users, New Users by City
  • If you're using the attribution services of SolarEngine, installation source information will also enter the dashboard for calculation. As a result, you'll be able to see a New User Channel report.

Of course, if you need to make adjustments to the preset dashboard, please navigate to Analysis-->Event Analysis-->Report Management, find the save reports, click and change conditions of them:

  • Monitoring of New User Channel: Further filter the channels you want to display in the chart.
  • Device Brands for New Users: Further filter the device brands you want to display in the chart.
  • New Users by City: Further filter the cities you want to display in the chart, or change Group Display from "City" to "Country".

3. Permission Explanation

Operation Permissions: The current account owner, super admins, and group admins are granted default operational permissions for the preset dashboard and reports in it.
