User Look-Up

1. Overview

When we already have specific information that identifies a user, such as account ID, device ID or GAID, we can use the "User Look-Up" feature to locate this specific user quickly.

User Look-Up feature streamlines user queries, enabling the following types of searches:

  • Search for users accurately using their account ID or visitor ID
  • Search for devices accurately by using device IDs, GAID, IDFA, android_id, etc.
  • Search users or devices based on other user properties or device properties
  • Click on user or device identifiers in the list to access user details and explore their in-app behavior

2. Usage Guide

2.1 Query Method

First of all, select "Query User" or "Query Device".

User refers to each unique individual who interacts with the product. Regardless of the number of devices they use or switch between, they are identified as a single user based on their account IDs and visitor IDs. User properties can be reported by the developer through the interface we provide.

Device refers to each unique device that accesses the product. Even if multiple individuals use the same device or an individual uses multiple devices, each device is counted as a separate user. Device properties are extracted from the reported event properties. If you are using SolarEngine ROI reports and have activated the "device table" feature, properties like cost, revenue, ad source, etc. will also be counted as device properties.

Generally, if there is no login system in your product, you can directly query device.

Secondly, select a property to identify the user or device.

According to the data type of your selected property, there will be different calculation methods, such as "equal", "contain", "have value", etc. For details, please refer to User Analysis -> Statistical Method.

After setting the query condition, click "View".

2.2 View Result

The returned results can have different scenarios:

1) If the query result is empty, the result list will also be empty.

2) If the query result is less than or equal to 10, all the results will be displayed in the result list.

3) If the query result is more than 10, the result list will display 10 results only and provide a 'View All Results' link. Clicking on this link will navigate to the user or device list page to view all the queried results. Additionally, no matter on which page of the two, you can click on any ID link to access the details page of this specific user or device and view their associated in-app events.
