Tracking Link Test

In this article, we’ll use Mintegral as an example to walk through how to test tracking links.

Before you start testing, please make sure you have finished the following steps.

Step 1. Integrate SolarEngine SDK

Access Path: Data Management -- Data Tracking

When SDK is properly integrated, event names like "App Install", "App Open", and "App Close" will show on the dashboard. If not, please try integration again.

Step 2. Enable Mintegral Postback

Access Path: Attribution -- Integrate Partner -- Mintegral

Install postback is required, otherwise Mintegral tracking link test would fail. If you're also running ROAS campaigns, it's also recommended to enable ad impression postback.

Step 3. Test Tracking Link

Access Path: Attribution -- Tracker Management -- Create Tracker

After creating Mintegral impression and click tracking URLs, copy them to Mintegral dashboard. Enter your test device ID (GAID for Andoird or IDFA for iOS) to get a Test Link or QR Code. Click/scan it to go to the app store, download and open it to initialize SDK, and allow full data collection. Wait a minute, and the test will pass.

What if the test fail or pending for long?

In this case, you will need to retest again.

1. Make sure SolarEngine SDK is integrated and Mintegral postback is enabled.

2. Make sure the impression and click URLs are correctly copied and pasted.

3. Add your test device ID into whitelist, uninstall the app, click/scan the test link and retest again (Step 3).

4. Check the attribution status in Attribution Query Tool. When it shows Mintegral, it means test success.
