Rule Event Configuration

In advertising, you might need to configure postbacks of key events, but the definition of key events can vary based on different business requirements. In this context, rule events can allow you flexibly adjust the conditions of events for postbacks without the trouble of updating the app with new versions.

Create Rule Events

Entry: Attribution—Debugged Apps—App Configuration—Rule Event Configuration

This page displays the rule event of "Retention-Day 1" by default. You can activate it or not.


Click the "+ Rule event" tab to create a new rule event.

  • The rule event name is required.
  • There are four types of rules available. SolarEngine also supports the "and/or" logic among multiple rules.
  • Once you have completed the configuration, clicking "Save" will make the rule event effective. When the rule event is triggered, in addition to reporting the original event, the rule event generated based on it will also be sent to the server for attribution or postbacks.
  • All the created rule events will be displayed in the list. By clicking "View rules", you can see the rules that you have configured.

Examples:

1. Count: Generate a new rule event if a user cumulatively opens the app for 5 times.

2. Property: Generate a new rule event if a user's payment amount cumulatively reaches $100.

3. Time: Generate a new rule event if a user purchases within 24 hours after install.

4. Multiple Events: Generate a new rule event if a user both registered and purchased within the app.

5. "and/or": Generate a new rule event if a user has cumulatively opened the app for 5 times and purchased once.
